Meet the Sacramento Team Behind Tilehurst Roofing Sacramento
We’re a local crew that has spent years working on Sacramento roofs, and we know what this valley does to them. The heat, the dry summers, the sudden downpours that find every weak spot. Our team is small enough that you’ll recognize the face that shows up, but experienced enough to handle anything from a missing shingle to a full tear-off. Every person on this crew was hired because they treat roofing the way the Kingswell family intended when they founded the company in 2000: show up when you said you would, put the price in writing before lifting a hammer, and stand behind the work for a full year.
Styles & brands we work with

Our People
Marco D., Lead Technician
Marco has been on Sacramento roofs for 17 years, and he is the one who walks the job first and tells you honestly what he sees. He’s certified in GAF and CertainTeed installation systems, which means the manufacturer’s warranty actually sticks because the product was installed to their spec. Marco has a quiet way of explaining things: he’ll point at a section of flashing and tell you it’s “letting water do what water does” rather than hitting you with jargon. He drinks his coffee black even in July, which the rest of us still don’t understand.
His specialty is leak forensics. The leak you see on the ceiling is rarely where the water is getting in. Marco traces it back, often to a nail pop or a failed section of drip edge, and he’ll show you photos before and after. He’s the guy who makes sure the repair fixes the actual problem, not just the symptom.
Dana R., Senior Installer
Dana started roofing in Oregon before moving south, which means she knows what a roof has to survive when the rain actually shows up. She runs the tear-off and install crews on roof replacement jobs, and she’s factory-trained on Owens Corning and IKO materials. Dana is exacting about underlayment, the waterproof layer between your decking, which is the plywood sheathing, and the shingles you see from the street. “Nobody claps for underlayment,” she says, “but it’s the reason your ceiling is dry.”
She’s also the one enforcing the cleanup rule. The Kingswell Way says leave the place cleaner than we found it, and Dana takes that personally. She runs a magnet roller over the yard after every tear-off to pick up stray nails, even the ones you’d never find with your eyes. On weekends she rebuilds old motorcycles, which explains her patience with stripped bolts.
Ray T., Service Coordinator
Ray is usually the first voice you hear when you call (279) 348-3049. He’s been with the Kingswell family of roofing companies for eight years and knows the Sacramento service area street by street, from Land Park to Natomas to Arden-Arcade. His job is to get your issue understood over the phone, schedule the visit in a window we can actually keep, and make sure the written price is ready before the crew arrives.
Ray worked on a roofing crew before moving to the office, so when you tell him “there’s a stain near the chimney and some grit in the gutter,” he knows exactly what that means. He’s the reason we don’t hide behind voicemail. A live person answers every call, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, and that person is often Ray, who keeps a notepad next to his bed for late-night calls about wind damage.
Chris M., Apprentice
Chris is two years into his roofing education and spends his days learning from Marco and Dana on real job sites, not in a classroom. He’s working through manufacturer training for Atlas and Tamko materials, and he’s the one you’ll see hauling bundles, staging tools, and learning the craft the slow, correct way. He asks a lot of questions, which is exactly what we want an apprentice to do.
Chris grew up in Sacramento and played baseball at McClatchy High School. He treats every roof like it’s visible from his own house. The rule on our crews is that an apprentice never does someone else’s job unsupervised, so when Chris is on your roof, a senior installer is working right next to him, checking every nail line and every seam.
One Standard, Every Job
Every Tilehurst Roofing location is independently owned and operated, but none of them operate alone. The Kingswell Guarantee runs through everything we do in Sacramento, the same way it runs through every other Tilehurst location. Before any work starts, you get a written price in your hands, no verbal ballparks and no surprise change orders. When the repair is done, you get a written guarantee before the crew leaves your driveway, not mailed to you a month later. And if that repair fails inside the guarantee period, we come back and fix it at no charge under the 365-Day Done Right Promise.
Greg Holloway, the owner of this Sacramento location, holds every team member to that standard. “The price is on paper because that’s the deal,” Greg says. “The guarantee is on paper because that’s how you know we meant it.” That’s the whole job description around here: say the price before the work, show up in the window we gave, leave the place cleaner than we found it, put the guarantee in writing, and come back if it fails. Every person on this page has agreed to that. Every roof gets the same treatment, whether it’s a small repair in Rosemont or a full roof replacement in East Sacramento.
For a free estimate or to ask a question about your roof, call (279) 348-3049 and talk to Ray or another live person on our team.
